About Us
J. P. Crawford
J.P. Crawford has been involved in the development and operations of healthcare facilities for more than a decade. He has directed multi-site operations and driven de novo projects for a Fortune 500 healthcare company in Texas, and has worked with numerous physicians to create, build, and drive successful healthcare businesses in the hospital, surgery center, and private practice areas. While working with Dr. Gomes in developing a prominent clinical TBI firm, J. P. realized how important objectivity and data are in the personal injury environment and that focus led him to join the TBI Imaging Associates team.
Traumatic Brain Injuries routinely go misdiagnosed or under-diagnosed. Part of the issue is that many people think “negative” imaging means that no injury is present. The reality is that the wrong technology is being applied in many of those instances, and more harm than good results. By raising awareness of TBI and DTI, we hope to help address this silent epidemic.

Andrew Gomes, MD
Dr. Gomes is a TX-state licensed mixed-modality Diagnostic and Non-Vascular Interventional Radiologist. He is trained in MRI with Diffusion Weighted Imaging, and works closely with TBI Imaging Associates’ (TIA’s) DTI expert witness Neuroradiologist. He has founded multiple healthcare organizations in the last 10 years, and he co-founded a prominent clinical TBI firm in Texas in 2018. He has since branched off from there so that he may focus all his efforts on what he believes is the present and future of Traumatic Brain Injury in the personal injury space… Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI).
In years past it was not possible to characterize white matter damage to the brain. That is no longer the case. Our goal at TIA is to educate the public on what DTI is, when it is appropriate to obtain for an accident victim, and to facilitate said victim’s DTI scanning and expert witness interpretation in a convenient, accurate, and efficient manner across all 50 states.
